On May 11, 2023, 29-year-old Courtney Ruth Ann Yancey of Milner, Georgia, passed away. On April 1, 1994, Courtney was born in Lagrange, Georgia. Jimmy Yancey, Jr., Courtney’s father, and Steve Wright, her grandfather, both passed away before her. Courtney cherished her time with her loved ones and friends. She had a great sense of humor, compassion, and intelligence. Words like humble and selfless are frequently used to describe Courtney. She spoke with talent and grace.

Survivors include mother, Stephanie McGreevy; step-father, Tom McGreevy; brother, Blake (Haley) Yancey; grandmother, Beverly Wright; grandparents, Jim and Dawn Yancey; uncle, Steve Wright (Ashley); aunts and uncles, Cynthia and Bubba Mayfield, Kim and Chris Griffin, Andy, and Melissa Garber; niece and nephew, Karter and Evey; cousins, Addison, Maddox, Jessica and Matt Mayfield, Ben and Erin Griffin; several aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends.
A visitation will be Monday, May 15, 2023, from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm.at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 in the chapel. Ron Crum will officiate. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Women at the Well Ministries, 881 County Road 655 Athens, TN.
