After claiming their seventh consecutive Premier League victory at the King Power, Jurgen Klopp’s team is still in the running for Champions League qualifying.
With a 3-0 victory over Leicester on Monday night, Liverpool increased their chances of making the Champions League.
The Reds won their eighth straight Premier League game thanks to two goals from Curtis Jones and a signature Trent Alexander-Arnold free-kick, moving the Foxes even farther away from safety.
Despite the fact that both Manchester United and Newcastle still have a game remaining, Liverpool is currently only one point behind them in fourth and third, respectively. With only two games remaining, Leicester is still in 19th place, two points from a playoff spot.
At the end of the game, Dean Smith’s team was booed off by their own supporters, while Liverpool’s celebrations went on for a very long time. The Reds have at last found their groove after a difficult season. They had a good time here, but it’s unclear if it will be enough to get them into the top four at the end of the season.
