Heidi Herzog Obituary and 1 die in Conewago, PA motorcycle crash

Conewago, PA – On Sunday night, a motorbike accident in Conewago Township claimed the lives of two people. Adams County Chief Deputy Coroner Francis Dutrow said that Brady Mann, 22, of McSherrystown, and Heidi Herzog, 21, of the area of Hampstead, Maryland, died at the scene of the collision on Kindig Lane.

The 2010 Kawasaki struck the passenger side of a 2015 Chevrolet pickup truck being driven by an 83-year-old Littlestown man, according to Conewago Township Police Chief Gary Baumgardner.

Baumgardner claimed that the car was turning left into the Clark Shoes Distribution Center, which is located nearby in McSherrystown at 355 Kindig Lane. He avoided mentioning the man’s identity due to the current investigation.

According to Baumgardner, the truck driver was taken to a hospital in York.

Autopsies conducted Monday at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Allentown showed both deaths were due to “blunt force injuries,” Dutrow said.

He claimed that more investigation was being done to determine whether Herzog was wearing a helmet, as it looked that Mann was. Authorities were contacted at 6:26 p.m., according to the Adams County Department of Emergency Services (ACDES).

Baumgardner claims that Kindig was halted between Oxford Avenue and Madison Street until just before ten in the morning.

According to ACDES, the agencies deployed included the coroner’s office, Conewago police, Southeastern Adams and Hanover Area fire companies, as well as emergency medical personnel from Community Life Team. The Adams County district attorney’s office was informed, according to Baumgardner.
