Bill Grabe Sr., of Shueyville, IA, a Real Estate Broker at Coldwell Banker Hedges unexpectedly passed away recently. Brooke Skaggs fellow employee at Coldwell Banker Hedges announced Bill’s death on Facebook on Monday, May 29, 2023.
Bill Grabe Sr. hailed from Cedar Rapids, Iowa, he is a longtime resident of Shueyville, Iowa. Bill attended Prairie High School and studied at Northwest Missouri State University. Brooke released the following statement on social media;
It’s hard to believe you’re no longer with us, Bill Grabe Senior. I am honored to have known you and had the opportunity to learn from you. You’ve been one of the biggest influences in my Real Estate career and I cherish all the time and knowledge you shared with me in your time here. You would always find a way to lighten the mood with a joke, a tease, or your smile! You enjoyed giving me a hard time just to make me laugh. My favorite thing about you was your fun-loving spirit, it was so contagious that just a short time spent with you would put anybody in a better, happier mood. The quote “Surround yourself with people that reflect who you want to be and how you want to feel, energies are contagious”, must have been written for you, Bill. You will always be remembered for how you made people feel.
Sonja Engel-Allbones a resident of Cedar Rapids, Iowa said, “I am truly saddened by the unexpected passing of my dear colleague, Bill Grabe Sr. He was a wonderful college, mentor and good friend to so many of us! Words cannot express how much I will miss his smile and uplifting spirit.”
