Daijah McKithen, 18-year-old dies in two-car accident at gas station along Rt. 1 in Lawrence Township

Following a two-car collision at a petrol station on Thursday, an 18-year-old from Mercer County passed away. According to authorities, the crash happened shortly after 12 p.m. in Lawrence Township near Franklin Corner Road and Brunswick Pike (Route 1).

Police said that a dump truck and a vehicle collided and slammed into a neighboring Shell gas station’s gas pump. The dump truck’s driver only sustained minor, non-life-threatening wounds.

According to authorities, Lawrenceville, New Jersey resident Daijah McKithen, the sedan’s driver, was pronounced dead at the scene. For the duration of the police investigation, Route 1 southbound is still closed in the region.
