Jaykob Dodd a student of Hawkins Independent School District (HISD) died in a fatal car accident over the weekend. Jaykob passed away due to the injuries sustained from the fatal car wreck. Hawkins ISD is mourning the loss of student Jaykob.
Hawkins ISD shared the following statement on Facebook:
“We send our deepest sympathies and condolences to the family of Jaykob Dodd. We stand by you during this difficult time, and our hearts go out to everyone in his family and our HISD school family. HISD will have counselors on hand tomorrow for any student and staff in need. Whether you need someone to talk to or just someone to listen, we are here for you. The Middle/High School will postpone summer school tomorrow. We will resume our summer learning program on Tuesday. Once again, our thoughts and prayers go out to you.”
The district said that Middle School and High School summer school is canceled on Monday and resume on Tuesday. They added that Region 7 crisis counselors will be on campus from 9:00 a.m. to noon tomorrow for students and staff.
Friends, family, and loved ones mourn the passing of Jaykob Dodd across social media platforms.
Melanie Anderson a Facebook user wrote, “Please pray for a family and community of Hawkins, Tx. Jaykob Dodd was in a car wreck yesterday and passed away. Jaykob was our neighbor in Hawkins and we all have precious memories of him. Jaykob will truly be missed, thank you.”
Annette Anderson said, “Prayers for the Dodd family for the loss of their, son, grandson, nephew, brother, cousin and girlfriend. Ramie Chad Dodd I love y’all and all your family are in my prayers. RIP Jaykob Dodd. Also prayers for his mom, I don’t know her name but God bless her.”
