Jim Orth a resident of Hastings, Minnesota died after being involved in a tragic motorcycle accident on Sunday, June 4, 2023. Jim died from the injuries sustained from the incident. He passed away at 38 years old. Kari Orth, Jim’s sister announced his death on her Facebook page on Monday. Kari released the following statement;
It is with profound sadness to share with you all our beloved brother and best friend, Jim Orth, died in a tragic motorcycle accident yesterday.
We are absolutely heartbroken. There are no words that can describe the pain we are feeling.
Jim Orth – you were the light of all our lives. Our lives will never be the same without you. We will miss you, love you and grieve you every day of our lives until we meet you again in Heaven.
Jim Orth’s visitation will be held on Friday, June 9 at 5-8pm at the Ranfranz & Vine Funeral Homes.
Jim Orth’s funeral will be held on Saturday, June 10 at 11am with additional visitation at 10am.
Andy Walton a resident of Minneapolis, Minnesota wrote, “Jim Orth, you’ll be missed brother. So many memories, and so many laughs. It was always more fun when you were there Cowboy. Your memory will forever be with me and so many others. Rest easy old friend.”

According to the State Patrol, troopers were summoned to the site of a deadly motorcycle crash in Freeborn County this morning.
There hasn’t been much information made public, but according to the State Patrol, the victim was southbound on I-35 on a motorbike when he lost control and slammed into the middle barrier. Around 11:30 AM, the fatal incident was recorded just 3 miles from the Iowa border and 5 miles from Albert Lea.
Although the victim’s name has not been made public, the State Patrol has reported that he was 63 years old and a resident of Lakeville.
