Dante Jackson a resident of Salinas, California unexpectedly passed away after being involved in a fatal car accident on Wednesday, June 8, 2023. Dante died following the injuries sustained from the accident. The details of the incident have not been released to the public.
Dante was a well-loved, independent, highly driven, hard-working kid, and he is going to be painfully missed. His friends would describe him as an affectionate, playful, trustworthy young man. He was always trying to help others and was proud to be known as a Momma’s boy.
Melissa Hall organized a GoFundMe campaign to fund the funeral expenses of Dante Jackson. Melissa released the following statement on the fundraiser’s page;
The 2021 Tesla driven by a 17-year-old was heading northbound on Ocean Parkway at a very high speed when the driver lost control of the vehicle, according to further investigation by the NYPD’s Highway District’s Collision Inspection Squad.
The teenager then ascended the pavement at the Avenue M and Ocean Parkway northeast corner, where he tragically struck Milorad.
After striking Milorad, the Tesla driver continued driving without stopping, striking a Department of Transportation traffic signal pole, a parked motorcycle, and a bench in the middle of the road. He then attacked a male victim, age 24, who was also sent to Maimonides Medical Center with minor leg injuries.
